Vetrinarian RFP

Hastings Racecourse is accepting proposals from licensed veterinarians with large animal (Equine preferred) experience to be employed as the Association Veterinarian for the 2009 racing season. The Association Veterinarian conducts daily pre-race inspections of all horses involved in and entered into racing at Hastings Racecourse. Inspections for racing fitness and soundness are typically conducted between the hours of 7 and 11 am on racing days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most Statutory Holidays.) In an effort to promote safety and responsibility on the racetrack, the Association Veterinarian can recommend the removal (scratch) of any horse from racing that does not pass the pre-race inspection process.
